VINIFICATION

Fermentation: Crushed and destemmed. Fermented on the skins in a combination of closed and open top stainless steel tanks. Regular pump-overs were done during fermentation. Pinotage and Petite Sirah were removed from the skins and pressed at 6-8 balling. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Racked to older barrels for aging.

Barrel Maturation: 300l French oak barrels. A combination of third and fourth fill barrels was used. The wine was barrel matured for 18 months.

TASTING NOTE

A luscious red berry compote takes centre stage on the palate, with delightful hints of raspberry dancing on the tongue. The wine’s mouthfeel is velvety and coating, offering a luxurious sensation. A touch of toasted cherry adds a subtle warmth and depth to the overall experience.
