Rhebokskloof Chardonnay 2020
An elegant and pleasant easy-drinking Chardonnay. It is a good honest wine with lots of citrus fruit on the nose and palate, plush, and has lovely linear acidity. The finish is long and dry.

Soil Type: Decomposed granite
Yield: 8-10 tons per hectare
TA: 6,0 g/l
RS: 2,3 g/l
Fermentation: Fermented in 300l French oak barrels. The wine was kept on lees with regular stirring.
Barrel Maturation: Mostly second, third and fourth fill barrels. The wine was barrel matured for 12 months.
Bottle Maturation: Bottle matured for 3 months before release.
This Chardonnay has a yellow apple and pear bouquet with a light dusting of nutmeg bounding out of the glass. The palate grows into more lemon peel with gorgeous notes of baking spices. Beautiful complexity with a lengthy finish makes you want to go back and back.
Baked kingklip with roasted sweet potatoes or grilled chicken with sauteed Brussel sprouts.
