Rhebokskloof has done exceptionally well in the 2020 wine awards. We are especially proud of our Chenin Blanc 2019, which was awarded a Platinum Medal at the 2020 Michelangelo International Wine & Spirit Awards. This crispy, fruity and fresh wine is one of only 24 out of all 1558 entries that received this medal.
We are very proud of our winemaking team, lead by Rolanie Lotz, who worked tirelessly to craft these top-class wines.
Michelangelo International Wine & Spirit Awards 2020
Platinum (96+)
Rhebokskloof Chenin Blanc 2019
Only 24 Medals get awarded in this category. Only the top 1.5% of all 1558 entries received in 2020 were awarded Platinum Medals. To call this a magnificent achievement qualifies as one of the bigger understatement in the international wine and spirits community. These Platinum Medal winners were scored on this level (minimum 96 out of a 100) out of a pool of entries received from 6 different countries. As the Michelangelo judging took place over a period of six days, on average, less than 5 entries tasted per day were placed in the Platinum class. These wines and spirits excel in international standards and is a must for connoisseurs and those who appreciate true art.
