The Flatrock Music Festival 2022 – Round-up

Music events in Cape Town are big in the warmer seasons, with crowds flocking to beautiful venues to enjoy a variety of concerts outdoors. Blessed with amazing weather and abundant nature, we are spoilt for choice in the Cape and surrounds with a variety of venues to enjoy the good weather and endless amount of local talent to keep us entertained throughout the year!

The Paarl Winelands, just an hour’s drive away from the Cape is no exception, with stunning views of its sweeping valley home to a variety of wine estates. This year, Rhebokskloof decided to show off the beauty of our location by hosting our first ever one day music festival right here in Paarl! Our beautiful venue is surrounded by a natural amphitheatre of vines, mountains and the Paarl wine valley offers the perfect setting for an outdoor music concert.

What is the Flatrock Music Festival?

The Flatrock Music Festival is a true celebration of nature, music and wine out on the slopes of the Noord-Agter Paarl Mountain. It celebrates the rich biodiversity that thrives in the region and is named after our famous Flatrock outlook on top of the mountain. Our Flatrock range of wines are also named after the outlook and is popular with our customers throughout the year.

While the event is inspired by nature and the season of summer and spring, it is also about the renewal of life. This music event aims to bring people together to share in the joy and love of the life in good company and good vibes.

The Flatrock Music Festival 2022

With so many upcoming music festivals and concerts happening in and around Cape Town this year, we at Rhebokskloof, decided to bring the festivities here to the Paarl Winelands.

This one-day music concert took place on the 29 October in the heart of Spring. The weather played its part perfectly on a warm, sunny day. Guests flocked in with blankets, garden chairs and umbrellas to spread out across our lawns overlooking the lake and stage. The Flatrock Music Festival is also one of the few music events around Cape Town that is family friendly, allowing all ages to enjoy the day.

The Line-Up for 2022

This year we hosted a stellar line-up of local live music acts to perform here at Rhebokskloof: Jeremy Loops, Amy Jones, Majozi and newcomer, Bob Ele. The crowd was kept entertained by a host of SMILE FM presenters and treated to a sundowner session by DJ Sam Roy.

Festival goers relaxed, danced and sang along to the amazing tunes of our phenomenal artists while enjoying a variety of food options and wine.

What a way to start the summer!  We look forward to our hosting everyone again our estate to enjoy the sunny festive season activities we have planned here in the Cape Winelands.
